What is One Community One Village (OCOV)?
One Community One Village (OCOV) is a program initiated by Khuddar Pakistan that aims to uplift villages in Pakistan by partnering with expatriate communities around the world. Through OCOV, a community of expatriates adopts a village in Pakistan and takes responsibility for providing essential resources such as providing education to the out-of-school children, clean drinking water in the village, and healthcare resources.
Khuddar Pakistan provides a list of villages in need and estimates the financial requirements to provide the necessary facilities. The expatriate community can select a village from the list or even nominate their own village. Once a village is chosen and a financial commitment is made according to the estimate, Khuddar Pakistan works with the community to turn that commitment into reality.
To ensure the successful implementation of the program, Khuddar Pakistan has partnered with experienced and reputable organizations such as TAKMIL for education, Hassan Foundation for water, and APPS UK Foundation for health resources. These partnerships ensure that the adopted village receives quality services and facilities to improve the lives of its residents.
